The purpose of this report is to inform policymaking and funding decisions by providing easy-to-read, accessible, concrete, research-proven evidence of academic achievement gains for minority youth and information on successful program strategies. The report also aims to provide information that researchers, practitioners (school administrators, youth program directors, teachers, counselors, youth workers), families, community members and young people can use to evaluate, design, implement and advocate practices shown to be effective in raising minority academic achievement.
