Overview

Participants heard from a diverse set of influential policymakers at both the state and local levels and participate in three site visits as part of our packed agenda. Visits provided an opportunity to witness first-hand how community-based organizations, afterschool activities, and wraparound services are integrated within a secondary school community to provide students with a seamless, comprehensive support system that graduates them college and career ready. State and district-level policymakers shared an overview of strategies and policies designed to use expanded learning opportunities as tools to both close the achievement gap and move youth toward a path of postsecondary success.
