Webinar: Pursuit of Equity: Maximizing Postsecondary Outcomes for Students with Disabilities Through Systems Alignment (Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 1:00-2:15pm ET)
The College and Career Readiness and Success Center (CCRS) is pleased to announce their third webinar focused on ensuring equitable access to career readiness opportunities for students with disabilities. Presenters from the Maine Department of Labor/Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and Department of Education will discuss state policies and practices that support cross-agency collaboration between K–12 and vocational rehabilitation agencies aimed at improving career readiness for students with disabilities. Webinar: Using Data to Promote Access to High-Quality Work-Based Learning: Tools and Considerations for States (Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 2:00-3:15pm ET)
To improve college and career readiness for all students, many states across the country are working to expand student access to work-based learning (WBL) experiences. However, in order to advance equitable access to high-quality WBL, states need to think outside of the box about ways to use data to inform the design, scale, and implementation of their WBL systems. Our webinar, Using Data to Promote Access to High-Quality Work-Based Learning: Tools and Considerations for States, will provide an overview of the role geographic information systems (GIS) and WBL measures can play in helping states make data-driven WBL decisions. Webinar: The Role of National Service in Improving P-16 Education Outcomes (Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 2:00-3:15pm ET)
The importance of national service programs cannot be stressed enough as they provide vital support to students across the nation at various points during their academic journey. Whether it be support for kindergarten readiness, reading proficiency by third grade, or high school graduation and postsecondary success, national service programs create a seamless system of supports for our youth. Greenville Out-of-School Time Leadership Forum
On Thursday, May 24, 2018, The United Way of Greenville County and American Youth Policy Forum (AYPF) hosted an Out-of-School Time (OST) Leadership Forum in Greenville, South Carolina. This event provided an opportunity to acknowledge the positive contributions of community leaders and organizations in developing a system of afterschool and summer learning programs as well as reinvigorate the out-of-school time system-building work.

Webinar Recording: Pursuit of Equity: Aligning Transition Planning From the State, District, and School Levels
How can transition planning support career readiness for students with disabilities? Featuring presenters from the Georgia Department of Education and the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency, this webinar provided an overview on the value of transition planning for students with disabilities. Participants explored effective transition planning through systems alignment from state and local perspectives, including leveraging career and technical education and strategies for engaging various stakeholders in the transition planning process.
